Big Idea: In the suffering of Jesus, God works to change hearts.
Application: God is at work even in our suffering. Do we remember how God worked in the suffering of Jesus, for you and me? Jesus took on himself the punishment of our sin so that we might be set free from sin. How have you expressed your thanks to Christ for taking on your sin? Jesus illuminates the darkest places in our lives. Have you surrendered over those dark places so the light of Christ might begin to shine on it? Jesus provides opportunities to be reconciled and reconnected with God. Are you or have you taken advantage of those opportunities or are you taking them for granted?
